Now that I can post pictures I can go mad showing everyone how hansom our boys are. They are all very eligible bachelors with pure natural working instinct. Very strong drive to head stock also natural backers.

To say that we love our Koolies would be a vast understatement and we are very proud to show the rest of the Koolie world our beloved dogs.
We hope you enjoy our pics as we have enjoyed yours.

The wriggling dog photography skills leave alot to be desired as everyone (except Silhouette) knows. Pup.gif

Silhouette has much better action shots from the June workshop there is a couple already posted of Blaze one of him saying "MOOOOVE IT" to one of those wethers.

Great photos Sheringa - well done!!

They are lovely looking dogs with nice strong merle colouring. It is a big concern how pale some of the dogs are becomming that people are continueing to breed back to merle. Good to see the solid also.

It's great to see photos of each others dogs and don't think you need a flash camera any modern digital in particular can take an excellent photo...which just might end up in the newsletter or on the front page of the club website.

thanx.gif Thanks Silhouette.

I would have to say that some of our best dogs are solid coloured dogs and we are very concious of how important the solid coloured dogs are in breeding programs.

I also believe that we need to remember that the Koolie is a breed not a colour. For us it is first and foremost the individual personality of the dog combined with ability. Then we look at body type, atheleticism and finally colour. Besides you never know what colours you are going to get with that merle gene.

I like hearing stories about how other people originally selected their Koolie on colour, they soon learn what an exceptionally temperamented, loyal and intelligent dog they are.

I also find it interesting that the "Kelpie converts" i.e. farmers that have always had Kelpies, often prefer to start out with a solid colour dog. Some find it hard to get their mind around a dog with all those merles and swirls.
