The Koolie Club is organising another sheepdog school at Binalong (near Yass can Canberra) for the weekend of 27 and 28 October 2007. Brad Pellow will be the trainer. We have just had two very successful weekend schools with Brad and have seen a lot of progress with our dogs so are looking forward to another one. Cost is $120 for the weekend. Koolies get priority booking until the end of September. Email me on ailsat@netspeed.com.au or call me on 02-6296-4321 if you are interested in joining us. Here are some photos from the last couple of schools:

Hey thanks Ailsa, we joined the mob at Binalong and if any one is considering going, do it you will never regret it.
Unlike many workshops that we have participated in, this one was held on an actual working station with 9 thousand sheep.
The shed and yards are used all year round and the dogs are used all year round and really put in the hours during shearing, lambing, marking, drenching and crutching seasons.
It was awesome to be there surrounded by huge hills and granite boulders and share the knowledge of these guys, they do compete in yard and utility trials through the sheep trial association.
Anyone who says they have seen it all or have become board with workshops or training days should seriously think about doing Brads workshop.
You get to sample everything, from yard work to drafting, penning, backing, working inside the shed and out in the paddock, Brad covers everything.
Words like grip, lift, force, presence are every day usage.
The whole experience was amazing and made so much sense than just pushing a few sticky sheep around a round yard.
We came away with so much more understanding and direction than from any workshop we have been in before.
I am so happy that I got to go and look forward to Brad being available for our next workshop at Elmore, hopefully in November.
You can bet your bottom dollar we will be going up to Brads again in October and our fees will be paid very quickly to insure we don't miss out or run out of money at the last minute.
There will be no excuse for missing this opportunity.
Hope to see many of you there.
