He's gorgeous Jackie H. He's got those great Koolie eyes that show his personality. Look forward to seeing more piccies as he grows. Have you got any recent pictures of his future bride Poppy?

Not sure if you have seen these photos of Poppy, she is so hard to get to pose, always so busy doing whatever duties she feels she needs to do (most involving the horses or the chooks!!!)
During the day I rarely see her or Pixie only for a quick checkin to see if anything is happening that she may wish to join in or an afternoon siesta on the couch.
Smithy has joined in very well to the team .. took a bit to get used to the short tail!!

Great shots love them, your boy looks terrific, so do your girls, their babies will be beautiful.
How old is he now, I wonder if his ears will rise.
No matter ears don't have anything to do with brains, I just like the look of them.

Here's hoping his ears come up!!! he is 5 months old. His mother has pricked ears and his fathers are kind of up there ... his kind of do amazing things sometimes even flop sideways, but each time the come back to sagging ... but as you say they don't matter, but I do like the prick ears as well.
He is a real thinker. The others race arround doing this and that but he just watches. He has already worked out that best place to be is follow me around ("you just never know when food will appear" type attitude, hence is very solid build) he was a bit cranky at food dinner time and tried to take everyone elses food, but has settled now.

The short tail comes from his mother.
His mother is Brescott Lily a red merle out of a litter from Brescott Dusty(she has a bob tail from her grandfather?? who was a smithfield cattle dog) and his father is Hunterslea Coffee. Apparently, all the litter threw the short tail, but he was the only solid, all the others were red merle they were born in late March this year and advertised on TJ's website. Alan and Mellisah were keeping one of his sisters to do obedience with.

Love the Photos.
You may get to see what your dog and bitch will throw if Amber is in whelp.
She is very much like your dog only with full tail, her ears never came up permanently, but do become erect when she is in working mode.
Bryce our dog is very similar to your bitches and has pricked ears which I love. Bryce is more like your bitch with the most white, but he seems to have more red merling on his body.
He is a Frank Kelm dog and Amber is a Misty Mountain bitch.
I'll add photos of them soon when I put them onto my computer.

i think mellisah and alan have keeped two of these pups i am sure that i had seen a young male as well as the female. i stayed at mellisah's for four days and had a ball i got to watch dusty and coffee working plus a lot of the other koolies as well but i can't remember all of their names lol. Quin is now living at mellisah's and is fitting in well and alan is so far pleased with him
spice's mother is brescot dusty and spice is with hunterslea coffee right now but we think we missed and that she was ready on day 2 or 3 and not day ten we did play it safe and had her with coffee on day five.

Very unlucky for Spice.
We had that problem with both the red and blue cattle bitches last season, both went to the dog on the sixth day as they are usually both 9 dayers and neither got in pup. The blue bitch has just come back in season after only three months and accepted dog on 5th day of bleed. So this year has certainly been different.
When I got Smithy, both males were for sale so perhaps they decided to keep the boy as well.
I am very envious of your visit and watching their dogs work ... they have a good reputation.

Royalla,
You got me all excited .... where are the pickies!!! I put my glasses on but that didn't help!!!
Saw the ones of his sister, and he don't look much like her at all. He has an allergy to the Bracky grass at the moment and has removed some of his hair (I guess it makes him cooler as well) so he looks a bit motheaten at the moment, so will wait til he replaces that missing hair to update the pickies.
