Is it possible to get more information from the original poster, I take it she had the dog dropped on her door step, could she talk to the lady who brought it to her.
It is impossible to say what she is, you were fortunate that you knew the breeders of your girl and they could tell you about her.
That this little girl looks similar to Matilda can be said for lots of cross breed and it could also mean she has Koolie influence.
I hope all this improves once the breed spacifity test results are known.
But until then I'll keep getting calls for every dog that has spots and now it appears the solids as well, just part of the job and I know it's only because they want to help the poor dog in the cage.
So as always, I will let the pound know we are here to help as much we can, we will inform all our volunteers that she is there, and hopefully get some one to see her and check on her wellbeing.
The Yass Ranger usualy gives me a haw if he gets a Koolie in as he knows we can home them quickly and he doesn't like them to stay cooped up too long.
Maybe you can return the redirecting favour back to Coolibah, as she so recently redirected a lady here in Vic to koolie rescue, she may be able to assist you, couldn't hurt.
I'll let you know how I get on after I call.

The interesting thing with the DNA when the new program becomes available is they will be able to point to the direction of a bloodline from what I am being told. So owners may be able to be back tracked from a breeders end.

DNA which can track the bloodline, now that's good to hear.
I'd use it to track down all those asswholes who backyard breed and flog their pups, half starved so people buy them out of pity and I'd throw them in the jug and throw away the key.
