Hi all, this is my first time on the Koolie Forum, so better tell you all about me, warn would be a better word because once I start talking about my dogs I don't take a breath, LOL. I have 4 horses, my Pally stallion is the favorite & he knows it, 2 cats, a galah & 2 soon to be 3 dogs. JC & Izzi are my Koolie's, both are female, JC is 10yo, Izzi 6 months, & next month we're getting an Australian Shepheard called Pebbles. JC & Izzi help me with the pigs, even though Izzi is young & little she's in there with the best of em, JC is doing most of the pushing & I keep a close eye on things. Well I could rattle on for ages but will leave it there for now, don't want to get thrown off with my first posting, better leave some thing for next time.

Hope you enjoy it here and will look forward to many more posts.

Here's hoping this works as still not sure how to put a photo on here. Any way if it does work this is Izzi our 6 month old Koolie, who's just been desexed & is suppose to be kept quiet for 10 days, yeah right, she's doing laps of the house at the moment. Pigs are smart, they're as easy to train as a dog, & will go through or over you if your not careful, JC has learned to get behind me & the board if the pigs start coming back. I usually only use the dogs if they get out of their pen so I can grab Izzi if I have to. Well here goes if this works I'll add mor pic's next time.

It worked. I went "awww" when I saw the photo she is a stunner (mind you I am partial to the reds). And Izzi is a great name, am a bit biased there too. Koolies and quiet time don't usually mix, but they are good healers so the stitches are not probably worrying her too much.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Izzy is sure cute. Yep I have just been through that with my puppy. What a laugh keep them quiet for 10 days. That lasted 12 hours only because she slept. Got told dont give her too much food well she screamed the place down. We survived after jumping a fence that was one and half her size, putting a squeaky toy in the toilet and grabbing my friends beard and trying to take it for a walk the whinging etc etc. Ohh it was so much fun. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cheers

Izzi is by Sheringa Freddo & out of Cutlers Koolies Josie, we drove from Murray Bridge,SA, to Portland & picked her up, only a 10 1/2 hr round trip, I think normal people go on holidays, we go to horse shows & pick up dogs. Bill, husband, worked out how to put photos on here so now you'll be sorry I've got all the horses, dogs & cat's photos. I'd love to have you meet my girls in person or is that dogson LOL ? RachelleBuck, if you happen to be in Murray Bridge on a Friday morning I'm at Steamers Dock Cafe having a cino & fresh home made huge chocolate chip muffin & your most welcome to join me, but I'm guessing you not any where near here. Just got home from Steamers & have given Izzi some work ready for Sunday, it's graduation at dog school, she's only in beginners class but I think she'll pass, will let you all know of course, at home she can do sit, drop & stand stays + recall off lead from 10 paces so she's going pretty well, but I'm bias. Ok have I bored you all enough

well you should meet me in the flesh, it gets worse LOL.

. I don't know what having my image tags fixed to the forum means but thankyou, not real computer minded that's why Bill does all the photo stuff for me.

Feb 23 2008, 09:15 AM
G'day Bill!!
I use Irfanview to resize my photos. It comes with a tutorial and I find it relatively easy to use. One day I'll do a course on Photoshop and find out how smart people do it.

I am sorry to hear about Boldover, it is sad when a much loved one goes. I bet you still do miss her.

Here is the hug you asked for.
I love the photo in the water of Izzi, way too cute. I may have to dognap her. Make sure you post some pics of your Aussie Shepherd when you pick her up? Bet you are looking forward to having another new addition into the household.

Hey Sil, Thanks for the extra hug, I won't tell if you don't, also for the how to get pic on as you will see I did it.

That's Wayandah Park 1 Golden Nuggett or Nuggett, Nuggie for short. One of the many animals we own, or is it they own us,
Rule 1, only allowed to hug strange women so that makes me OK so far
Rule 2, Refer Rule 1.

Can't leave Bill alone for a second, I had to beat him off the computer with a stick:lol:, the only reason I can get on now is because he's at work, ok I'm as hooked as he is & just love talking dogs. We had a big day yesterday, went for a 24km walk with the dogs, Bill stayed home, & thought Izzi would be tired, not even close, then went to dog school & Izzi graduated to grade 1, came home & she was still ricocheting off the walls with her squeeky toy, she didn't stop till 10.30pm

. Don't think she'll have a problem with the 60km walk in October, I'm doing 100km but the dogs can only do 60 or 70 of that. I can handle Bill hugging strange women but do have problem if he hugs normal one's,

Can understand about the energy in Izzi, I keep looking for the battery compartment in my two girls so I can switch them off. But I know that if I am still they are. They even follow me around when I am doing housework I think they believe they are helping.
You are enthusiastic with the walking. Is it bushwalking, marathons? How did the horse riding go? Is it dressage that you do?
I miss my horse already, she has gone to a young family with children. Not having your own land sucks!!
