Hi All
My name is Linda and I have a koolie pup called Ashwyn (Ash for short) he is the brother to Danni's Gabby who you have heard about and I think she has mentioned her brother along the way (the one who is the red cordial dog!!!) I have always owned Kelpies and this is my first Koolie, I just happened to go along with Danni to choose her little girl!! 17 pups came out to greet us and this one chose me and I just couldn't resist him. He has a terrific temperament and nature and I am training him in agility and obedience.

My computer is playing up at the moment so will post some photos of him and Gabby later.

Cheers
Linda & Ashwyn

Thankyou everyone for your warm welcomes I have posted some photos in the website & photos section . I was going to add a photo to this post but am not sure how to do it? any suggestions would be welcome so I will add it to the the other photo forum.

Ash is in class 2 of obedience he learns quickly but I have to still work on his focus for it. I have concentrated mostly on foundation work for his agility and he is doing very well in that. He will be in puppy class until he is 12 months old but is responding well to my voice and body. Cosidering he has the distraction of both his sister and brother in the same puppy class I am very pleased that he listens to me when he comes off lead!!!

He was desexed last week and boy has it been fun and games keeping him quiet at home needless to say guess who lost the battle?

Cheers

Hi Linda & Ashwyn,

I am a newbie here too and look forward to chatting. Can't wait to see the pics of Ash.

I saved my pictures in photobucket then clicked the add picture button and added the url. They are a bit big so just need to make them smaller for next time.

Hi Linda,

He is just beautiful. Glad the piccy worked. If you copy the direct link in photobucket and copy and paste it into the url for the image icon above it puts the picture into your message. Took me ages to work out how everyone was getting their pics up but when I ran the cursor over the pictures it showed they were in photobucket. I used to have a heap of pictures in the old snapfish which photobucket took over but I can't remember my username and password so had to start all over again unfortunately.

I look forward to seeing more pics of Ash!!

There was a person on Australian story last night called Ashwyn. First time I've heard of a (modern) (non-canine) person called that.

Here was me thinking he was unique!!!!!! I missed Australian story so didn't see the "other Ashwyn"

Took my one down the beach and it was fun seeing his reaction to it wouldn't stop barking at the sea then being brave in going in and coming to tell me all about it, here are some pics of our fun time

My first time, where are you mum??????

Gabby and he are a really beautiful pair. But he must have the longest tongue (that is his tongue in the 2nd pic isn't it? - it's very long).

Something I notice with Wal is that he can't seem to resist drinking while he's swimming, even if it's in salt water.

This other Ashwyn is a member of a Christian sect who decided (several of their group have done it) to donate a kidney to someone he didn't even know. I'm sure your Ashwyn is saner by far.

Paxy drinks the salt water too!

Lovely pics of Ashwyn enjoying the water! They are so funny when they first go in!

Methinks it was the angle of the photo, it does look long, maybe I should try measuring it that would be a challenge!!!

He doesn't drink salt water but tends to swallow it when retrieving his ball, he is very ball orientated as other dogs (& kids) have found out when we are at the beach.
