Oh my she has grown hasn't she. It looks like butter would not melt in her mouth. lol. I love her eyes she seems to have that mischevious look in them especially the last photo. She is beautiful. I so want another Koolie but I will have to wait for about 5 years, the OH and I have come to an agreement when Ceejay and Izzy are about 8 years then I can get another dog. That way they can teach the new pup all their bad good habits.

She's just gorgeous. You can see her wonderful strong personality in her face. And she's got amazing ears.

Paxy is a very cheeky young miss who likes to push the boundaries sometimes! She tries hard to get me to chase her round the backyard while she holds a toy in her mouth. Hasn't quite got the hang of give yet, works fine in the house but outside is different! And I do hope she grows into her ears.

Don't worry about the ears they do grow into them. Zorro my last boy had big ears from the start and he grew into them by the time he as about 18 months old. Used to call him Batman as he had the mask (hence Zorro) and ears.

Yep they do push the boundaries and still test you out even when you think they have grown out of it, I think it is too keep us on our toes. It shows that Paxy is quite intelligent, well that is what I believe and use for an excuse when Ceejay tests the boundaries with me.

She is one smart cookie! I've had two trainers at the CGC remark how switched on she is. Only trouble is sometimes there isn't enough action so she decides that I'm fun to jump on or eat or it's time to do the fish on the end of the line impersonation (flop around like a mad thing). It is at night though so am concerned that her vision may have some part to do with her being so switched on. Impossible to distract her with anything in that state!!!

LOL. I know Izzy is not a koolie but she and Paxy sure have similar behaviour. Izzies nickname is Popcorn you can't keep a supposed good dog down. She gets so excited and you try and settle her down which makes her worse, she is a wiggle worm. So you just wait until she settles of her own accord and then you say good girl and use the word settle a lot. I am hoping she will get the hint that when you say settle she will. lol.

Is Paxy a real character too? Has loads of personality? We will have to keep each other in the loop and figure out what age they will settle down. We also call Izzy a loony.

Hmm I see glimpses of a calm Paxy on occasions. I am just glad she is crate trained otherwise I don't think she would stop and rest. She is a stickybeak and has to know what everyone is doing and where they are going. Very good at sticking her nose where it's not wanted. She's broken several glasses because she wants to know what they are and has knocked them over using her nose. Nearly had a coke addict (the beverage kind!). Although I must say she is surprisingly gentle with her toys and none have been destroyed/destuffed yet, she loves the squeakers.

I'm hoping to get through the teenage times next. She is still teething at the moment, losing her canines, she's lost one so far. She is learning that if she is calm and settled she gets a nice rub on her neck which she loves. But it is a work in progress! I would hate to think what she would be like in a home where she had no training!

She is absolutely gorgeous Bluedog, growing very quick. :)
Hey, do you know what her bloodlines are? She has a very similar shaped body and head to our 2 young girls here.

Paxy is from Toolalla Belle and Toolalla Clancy.
