My OH patiently holding the dogs while I gathered up their essentials, treats, water bowl, poo bags, etc. We had a great day there were about 900 dog walkers there. Dogs were on their best behaviour after going for a run and swim on the beach and then a run in the park and a walk prior to the start of the event.

Love to see Pixie in her hat. She's sooo pretty :-)

surprised1.gif She really doesn't mind it. It was a quick construction the night before as Smith took her last one and hid it in the yard somewhere!!! very inconsiderate. We scrounged up an old RSPCA hat from a couple of years ago and cut ear holes in it and moved the velcro. Other than bumping the peak on things which pushes it back a bit she just accepts that she must wear it when going on walks during the middle of the day.

It shades her eyes so she has realised that it is good, she does not like Doggles!!

Great shots and you all look like you had the best day, don't forget to send me photos and a little write up for the newsletter, there are a lot of members who don't know about the walk and would love the get involved.

Phoenix and I attended the RSPCA Million Paws walk here in Melbourne. Phoenix recieved a special invite to attend as he was a rescue from the RSPCA Burwood. He was given a special jacket to wear for the walk and was put at the very front of the masses of walkers with all the other rescue dogs. He had just a great day, they had demonstrations of Kelpies working sheep (he kept telling them from the side line the Koolies do a better job!!) He also met another Koolie and was even remembered by a couple of the RSPCA workers. He really has open a lot of eyes to the great Koolie breed.

I didn't get any photo's though. Sorry :(

But the walk is a great day out for dogs and humans!!!

I hope you guys had a much fun as we did.

It was a hoot!! and plenty of fun. Was a handful I had the four koolies (they were so excited but on their best behaviour) and OH had the two ACD's that were allowed to come. We had MOBS of interet in the Koolies, I thought one bloke was gonna break my legs and make off with Harley!! he was so excited to see Koolies in NQ... he gave me his card to remember him when we have puppies... Anyway was a great day and raised lots of funds for an excellent cause.

This was my first year that I missed it, had a work function on where we met all the staff of all the libraries....sigh amalgamations.

You guys sound like you had a blast and pleased to hear that people are enquiring about the koolies.

And Rachellebuck you can tell Phoenix that yes Koolies do it better than Kelpies, I have the perfect example here at home. lol.

Just will have to wait next year. I really missed it (how sad is that) my life has turned to the dogs.
