Hi everyone , my name is karen and i'm from Gawler,Tasmania looking for a Koolie puppy or a bit older , I don't really mind , I would like a red or blue Merle and also like the black , female is my preferance . We live on 25 acres and run horses ,calves ,chooks, goats, and many other animals lol , I have Sharpei and a Maremma both of which would more than welcome an addition to the family. I could ramble on for hours so I shall scoot off before I wear out my welcome lol. d.gif

Karen - do you mind telling us about your hopes for your Koolie? Do you hope that she will work, do sports, be a companion only etc? How did you come to decide on this breed? (I'm always interested in what attracts ppl to different breeds:-)

aaaah my hopes for my Koolie are totally endless ..lol companion is a must and I do like an allrounder ...so trainning is a priority and have done this with other breeds so maybe have a slight advantage lol i do like the clicker method of trainning and am amazed at the number of people that look at me strangely when i just clik my tongue and whistle and the dogs know exactly what i want lmao I really do think they are Tellepathic ..probably not spelt right so please excuse my frozen typing d.gif trying to thaw out here still brrrr years ago we had a Koolie called flip , she was a very light tan and white colour with the medium coat ...yep she has hearing probs as the years went by and did end up requiring glasses lol but she was the most switched on girl, amazing so when I lost my old male Maremma I put alot of thougth on exactly what we wanted ...and in all fairness my hubby to be started saying no we don't want another dog but the Koolies won him over ...as i was doing a search on them he was at his mothers watching telli and you'll never guess what it was he was watching ...Norm and his Koolies ...amazing another dr dr dr dr moment when he camein the door and i said hey hun I would like a Koolie and he said well " I've just been watching them and yes I agree " hehehe don't you just love life sometimes , must of been ment to happen , thats my theory anyway brr better go get another coffee I think ..

Brrrrr I'm glad to have found you to

lol yep tis sooooo cold here but it's kinda nice too ... the veiw is amazing , Jellybean was named when I got her but I do love different names and put alot of time into naming the animals ....sometimes a painfull job lol depends on their personalities ..I'll give it a go at posting some pics of Jellybean and Lili lol am getting the hang of this ..my last sharpei was called huckleberry ..I named her after the song " be my huckleberry " she was the best gurl but believe it or not she got ran over at 5am on our driveway after going out for a pee , I still try and get my head around that ...25 acres the Maremma's were sleeping soundly on the portch and she went to the driveway hmmmmmm but by her dying she saved another 30 Sharpei's and yes the pple responsable have finally gone to court phewwww took over a year oops I'm rambling on again soz ooooh it won't let me do the pic thingie hmmmm stay tuned I shall work it out ..lol now I'm on a mission

Now there's a story waiting to be told to us all. That's a hard loss to get over though, in your own driveway ...

Hi Karen, glad to see you got on the forum without any more drama, I see you are settling in well and getting to know everyone.

I hope you will post some photos of your beautiful country side, we are all from all over and it's great to see places we may one day get a chance to visit.

I have family in Tassi and we try to visit at least once a year, maybe we will get to catch up in person.

Maddie and Jcas are from Tassi as well, they will no doubt say welcome to you soon, Maddie has only just recently moved to Tassi, Jcas I believe has lived there for some time, so it's nice you will get to know each other on the forum.

Enjoy yourself woof.gif welcome2.gif
