Ceejay
Okay I caught Ceejay at the computer, thank goodness she hasn't learnt to type yet who knows what she would say how I am treating her.

yes i have seen her in action she really is watching the screen and that mouse LOL

She's obviously highly intelligent and you should let her do some research on the computer, she is obviously able to read and it is only the handicap of the QWERTY keyboard that doesn't allow her to type!

Does she react if you put a picture of a dog on the screen!! lol!

Ceejay
She reacts to any movement on the screen but if you have sound too, gawd head tilting and silent barking back at the screen that is why my computer sound is always in mute. Silent barking is a barking motion with no sound, for some reason Ceejay does it a lot, more so when she is really excited. She is also fond of pretty lights.
Tjukurpa
My girls all silently bark, must be in their genes.
Mayi only does it when she is excited and trying to be cocky, she throws back her head all impressivly and whophs, that's what it sounds like.

Wish Paxy would learn to be quiet. We're working on it though! She really doesn't like other dogs barking though - she reacts quite startled when she hears one especially if they are close to her - maybe that's what started it all.
KoolieMum
Has Paxy been BAER tested? (I hope that her hearing is normal, poor darling, but while the startle response to barking could be increased because of her vision problems, it could also be due to changes in the hearing system.)

Alby is a TV watcher, and gets very animated at animal shows. I will never leave the house again with anything with Doctor Harry on that night. I can only replace so many TVs. It used to only be dogs, but tonight he got hostile when a Tibetan Yak from the ABC "came into" the lounge room for a while.

I'm crying, I'm sorry! lol
Paxy has very little interest in the TV, sometimes glances at it but loses interest within moments.
Ceejay
Ceejay is an avid movie watcher, I sometimes smile when I glance over and she is watching the screen. And sometimes I think she knows what is going on, or she may just read my body language when I tense up she puts her head on my lap especially in the scary moments. Yes my dogs are allowed up on the couch. I am a bad owner. Can I ask a question does anyone else talk to the dogs as though they understand them. I sometimes catch myself having a full conversation with them. beamme.gif

I guess the difference between mad and not mad is when we start expecting them to understand ;-)

I'm guessing from what I observe when I'm here, that he kinda tried to get inside it with Dr Harry and a beagle or something. It was on its back behind the table it sits on.The Yak did not like, so he had to go "outside for barking"(that's the command when he barks inside).

Does he ever see himself in a mirror? Would be funny to see what he might do! 7 years bad luck?? LOL!

My son knocked over a TV when he was very little, made a lovely big bang. We thought Yah! new TV but a fellow managed to fix it and it's still bloody going although my daughter has it in her flat now!
Ceejay
Thank goodness I am not the only one that has long conversations with the dogs. They both do the head tilt as I am talking which encourages me more, I believe they do understand what I am on about. Royalla it is funny how you mention about not liking someone. Ceejay who loves everybody has only done this a few times, she sits right against my leg and does her low rumbly growl the person can't hear it but I can feel it against my leg. So I know she is telling me that she doesn't trust this person. And when their is drunks wondering down the street (live opposite a pub at the moment) they have a system, Ceejay goes outside and does her growl while Izzy if I am in bed lies on top of me and guards especially when the OH is on night shift.

Just finished watching them running flat bikkies around the house and shed and water trough like a pair of loonies. They are now flat out on the floor. lol.

Yep wouldn't swap these two for the world.
