I'm getting the impression that most are you are in Vic or Qld, but for anyone who might be interested and able, Armidale Sheep Dog Club are holding another training day this month and you are all welcome! The fees are very reasonable and the trainers are excellent. Every dog achieves something before their turn is up, and the next location has heaps of sheep, yards, races and small paddocks available so everyone should get plenty of goes!

Matilda had her first day there in Feb and has built up a great deal of confidence since.I's open to all working breeds, but Koolies will be well represented by Kooliegirl with Spy and Gel, and I'm taking Matilda and Fly.
Anyone wanting more info can post or PM me and i'll fill you in!

Here's a couple of Snaps from Matildas first day there:

Hey thanks Koolarks, is it possible to send us a bit of an article and some photos of your day at Armidale for the newsletter.
We tried to get up there a couple of months ago but it fell through.
We're going to try and drop in around the end of October.
Hope you have a great time.

That's not a drama TJ, Do you want an article and some of these photos or some from the next clinic?

WAH WAH WAH my car needs work first new Zeb bushes first then tyre's are you going to hold another one this year i would just love to come to one of them
Koolarks
LOL @ Roy! Now, now don't through a tantie! They hold them every two months. You pay $20 for a yearly membership and you can attend 1 or all 6, depends what you can manage! Tilly missed the last one in April because she was in season. The one after this one is in August, than October and so on.. Your membership runs for the financial year i think, but i'm not 100% sure on that. It is such good value! You have to take your own food, and be prepared to wait your turn for the instructors, but for what works out to be $3.30 a day if you attend all 6!, you won't find better value!! They send newsletters to let you know what is on and they also hold training camps, like the one at Uralla over Easter. Those cost extra but i think three days all up were about $130, which is still pretty good! surprised1.gif

Koolarks, please say hello to Kooliegirl from me - she rescued my lovely Perry. Please tell her that Perry is really settling down as she gets older and is very much loved. Please give Spy, Perry's foster sister, a pat from me too.

Both, I'm geedy.
Can you tell us who the trainers are, give us all a bit of an over view of them and what to expect and some contacts as well, that could go with the article, make good reading, thanks

Matilda is an exceptionally pretty dog imo, Koolarks. I knew she had a pretty face, but hadn't seen her side on before.

Paxy's half sister, isn't she?

Looks like fun, Matilda looks like she enjoyed herself. Mum and I are going to a training day for the Tassie working sheepdog assoc. this month (hopefully) :) I can't wait, I'll be taking Tully with me.

I am not sure whether Gel and Paxy are 1/2 sisters. Even if they aren't, they are still very closely related. :)

Don't forget Peejy, report and photos for the newsletter
