Hello, good people.
I am Roy, a koolie X staffie, and I would like to spend some time here.

I spent quite a while living with Tjukurpa before finding my forever home.
Life is good, and I get to sleep on a real bed at night now.

Daytimes are spent running up and down the hills on the property, and
chasing kangaroos away from my comfort zone, which is 200metres radius.
I never go further than hearing-distance in case I am called for a ride
in the car and I never go near the road.

I often find kangaroo carcases on my travels and I bring them home, bit-by-bit,
and bury them all round the place for a rainy day. I eat lots of them too.
They are much nicer than dog food, or butchers' bones.
People come and shoot kangaroos and deer in the hills just near my place,
they take the deer away, but leave the kangaroos. Wish I could have deer.

That's enough from me for now.
Now that I have discovered the forum, I hope to visit here frequently.

Roy.

Welcome Roy (and your person). Looking forward to hearing more of your stories. Sounds like you're on a good wicket now.
Ceejay
Welcome Roy, you sound like you are in doggy heaven there. Make sure you post up a picture of yourself up here so we can see what a handsome dog you are. My owner (this is Ceejay the koolie typing) has also got a mixed up dog oops I should say cross breed dog, her name is Izzy and she is a kelpie x cattle dog who wishes she was a koolie like me. Make sure you join in the many and varied discussions in here and look further to seeing more posts about you. Oh my name is Ceejay like the forum name. lol.

Hey Roy, we need a photo of you, I bet you may have spread since our time with you buddy.

Nothing has changed over here same old, same old, just more of it.

Still trying to get more land, so we have more to play with.

Great to see you haven't fallen off the planet mate, look forward to catching up and sharing views with you.

Very nice bunch of people from all walks of life here, always plenty to talk about. Diello.gif

Bluedog
Welcome Roy! I bet you enjoy those kangaroos! The city dogs have all sorts of trouble finding them! Kangaroo tails are very scarce to chew on!
Show us some pics of the things you like doing!
Roy
Hi people,

Thanks for your welcomes and good wishes.

@Tjukurpa
It hasnt been easy to keep the weight from getting out of control, but I am on top of it. My figure keeps wanting to adopt the staffie shape.

I'll see if I can get the boss to take a pic. (he's a bit slack, you know).

Cheers, all.

Hi Roy (& his human) and welcome2.gif
Since you are in Vic are you going to get your human to bring you to a few Koolie club meetings?
Would love to meet you in person

Hey Roy! Great to meet you. Love to see some pic's. Don't skite about doggie heaven too much though, because my Jacksy and Alby from Enmore, Sydney may want to move in! Diello.gif

I persuaded the top dog to take some pics of me today, but he will only let me post this one. Says the others are c**p.

It's not much of a pic either, just from the phone-cam, and it makes me look like I've worn down my legs, but it's a start.

We'll get some more done soon, hopefully.

Roy.

Oh a definate poser, you can see the Koolie shining through with those eyes and the smile. Well he seems definately happy to have found you as an owner. Was wondering how his energy levels are, as I know that staffordshires are bouncy creatures and adding a Koolie to the mix oh my gawd, I am thinking of a dog with ADHD that has been sucking down red lollies all day. Or does he shut off when you do? My girls do that when I am inside eg on the computer the both sleep at my feet or on the bed (acutally they are doing that now, Ceejay on floor, Izzy on bed).

Is that you in the Avatar Roy? You look like you're wearing a saddle! A merle saddle that is! You look a pretty handsome boy, tell that fellow that feeds you to get a decent pic of you!
Koolarks
lol! After reading through all these posts to Roy, i actually feel like we are talking to the dog! (OK, yes i must be losing it!) So Roy, does the hand that feeds you have an idenity, if not give him a pat for me anyway and it's great to have you around! woof.gif
Roy
@Ceejay
A bouncy creature, definitely, but able to switch off and smell the roses.

@Bluedog
Yes, that's me in the avatar. It was taken when I was living with Tjukurpa.
The only camera we have is in the phone.

@Koolarks
His name is Ron, and he is very obedient. Very well trained, I would say.

Cheers.

Howdy Roy (& Ron wink.gif) Nice to meet you, You are a very handsome boy looking at your avatar.. It sounds like you lead a very busy life chasing those kangaroos and collecting bones, you must post a few stories about your adventures, I'm sure we'd all love to hear.
By the sounds of it you have your human under control, do you plan on using him for agility or flyball, herding or just as a companion? surprised1.gif

He is my companion and my mate. He treats me like a human and I treat him like a dog (in the best sense).
It is probably better if I don't tell about what I do when I am out of his sight, he may read this and what he doesn't know won't hurt him.

I love the frisbee, but dont get many chances to get at it, because I chew it to bits. I dont chew anything that I'm not allowed to, but he throws the frisbee away.. I rescue it.. it's mine.. I chew it.
He keeps wanting me to take it back to him so he can throw it away again. Strange behaviour. I think he is a sick puppy.
