Well this will be my first AMG at the upcoming Koolie Club meeting. What happens?? Are all positions declared open etc??I have been to other AGM's before but just wondering if our meeting is the same.

Yep, it's run in accordance with the constitution provided when the club was incorperated back in 2000.

Thinking of puting your hand up, more hands make light work.

Nomination forms have been sent out, and when returned, if there are no double ups for any one position then those nominated are sworn in when the current committee step down.

Voting only takes place if there is more than one candidate for a position, and voting forms are sent out before a meeting to cover this.
If you don't recieve a voting form then there no extra candidates.

Reports are tabled from each deparment, which are then published in the newsletter for those members who can't make the meeting.

It doesn't take long and then it's onto the BBQ and activities, Agilty this time.
So looking out for as many of you to come and join in on the day.

Cool. Sounds good. I don't want to really nominate for anything as I don't want to be stepping on any toes by nominating for a position someone else wants

There is no pressure for anyone to take a position, but if someone is interested in joining the committee then we can take advantage of the wide range of numbers we allowed for in our constitution...I think we just stated a minimum with no maximum. I don't think you could have too many hands to make light work. Most of the job holding committee (is there a name for them?) are usually quite happy to continue so if you are thinking of attending done worry that any pressure will be applied to you to take on anything. Usually just another reason for a good get together.
