And below the Koolie and Koolie x look to be 2 Murray River Retrievers, don't see them every day.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page there is now a 2 mths female coolie cross at RSPCA at Central Coast and another 18 mths female coolie at Lonsdale.

ETA Just realised I'm prob talking about the same dogs as Kooliemum! :)

Were there any other Koolies there?

btw - have you ever seen one of those Murray River Curly Coats? I saw one years ago (12 I suppose, when I was first training and instructing) and have never forgotten it. They look like American Water Spaniels. Very interesting dogs, I hope they continue to do well, am actually a bit surprised they haven't taken off, as they are quite unlike any of our other native breeds.

Actually I could totally see myself with one.

I've just contacted the Lonsdale shelter about Maddie & she needs to be adopted asap because her time in nearly up & she's not coping in the pound. If anyone can help her at all it would be great, I can pick her up from Lonsdale & look after her for a while as long as she gets on with the rest of my lot. leave me a message & I'll do what I can.
KoolieMum
She looks and sounds like a real sweetheart.

This one is listed as a German Coolie cross - 2 months "Skye".

As far as I've been able to find out they don't have a club or registry, but they do have a yahoo group. I wonder what their population and genetic diversity is like, not good I suspect.

Regarding the young female in Lonsdale SA, I called yesterday and they said that there was a fair bit of interest in her so I am hoping that she has been adopted. I will check at the end of the week to make sure. The RSPCA have her listed as a kelpie x.
Cheers

I'm keeping a check on her as well, was going to go see & maybe bring her home but Pebbles got sick, hopefully she gets a home.

Oh so do I...as I said I will call at the end of the week. I would take her in a flash but cannot have anymore females here. If she were a boy...
I'm glad someone else is looking out for her too. signthankspin.gif
