Been at it again, yep teaching Jorja new tricks, this time using the dogs weaving poles. The poles aren't wide enough for her to weave through of course. BUUUUT, we walk between two then side pass to the next two, rein back between them, side pass walk forward etc, to the end then do a turn on front or rear end & back again. Jorja is very patient with me teaching her all these useless things surprised1.gif, like straddling a rail on the ground & walking forward along it, just started that one & it doesn't bother her either, she's so much like her dad. She also put's up with the dogs running & playing in the arena or Izzi running circles around her puppy.gif, I miss Nuggett so much but Jorja is filling the gap. I'd get Bill to put a video on but he can't work out how to get it onto photo bucket so you'll have to imagine it rolleyes.gif sorry.

I just saved the video files off my camera into my computer, and then uploaded them to photobucket the same way as a photograph.

Hey been thinking, why don't you see if you can teach her to stand with her front feet up on a pedestal of some sort - a log maybe?

or pawing a front leg in the air, a friend of mine had a horse who could do that as a kid. :-)

If I can find some thing solid enough it shouldn't be to hard to teach Jorja to stand on it & might have to give the waving a go as well.

It sounds like you are enjoying Jorja, there is nothing better then having that special bond with your horse. You will have to find someone with a video camera and record some of these tricks, they would be amazing to see.

All Tink could do trick wise was spin on her hind and front legs, and being able to ride her without reins. Still miss her. 'sigh' Oh and play tag with me. One day when I have my own acreage I will get another horse. One day.
