Well we have moved into the house and getting there in making it a home. Will get photos up soon. Has been hectic and non stop. Sad news, my old boy cat Salem passed away two weeks after the move. He is now the first pet to be buried here. Ceejay and Izzy has taken a go each of digging him up, so now there is a pile of rocks over the grave. NOT IMPRESSED!!

The girls have settled in well, and Ceejay is over the moon that she can go zoomies at 100 trillion miles an hour without stopping for a fence. lol.

I am also getting muscular from raking up lots of rocks.

i am glad you have finally made it to your new house and yes dogs are very good at digging other passed away pets Amandas pet cavie (piggie) past away it was hell tring to keep her in the ground, Image dug her up about ten times it did not mater how many bricks, rocks sheets of iron i put on top she managed to get past all and drag poor caramel back out once again in the end we had to fence of that part of the yard just so caramel and i could get some rest lol.
can't wait to see your new place and of course the girls

Congratulations on your new home! Condolences for poor Salem. Unfortunately dead creatures are very attractive to dogs. I hope that you haven't had to rebury him too many times, that's a bit distressing to say the least. You'll have to post some pics of the wide open spaces Ceejay has now to run in. Are you making rockeries with your rocks??lol

We can build a pyramid with our rocks, Jeff is going to incorporate them into the retaining walls. The place had the hill cut out so it left a nice flat area for the house, but it is all old bedrock. I told Jeff that if I rake a pile each day that would make 365 piles and would probably have the whole yard done in a year. hehe.

I did have to rebury Salem once (after a week). Lucky I have a strong stomach, unlike poor Jeffrey. The girls don't go down that part of the yard at the moment, the got into huge trouble luckily I caught both of them digging there so they now know that is a no no area.

We have a pair of resident bush curlew or thick knees here . They are a nocturnal bird with the most amazing eyes.

My husband has just repaired our retaining wall made of bushrock. Small ash rock kept falling out and making the whole paved area uncomfortable to walk on plus Paxy likes carrying the rocks around in her mouth. During a period of hot weather a few weeks ago she actually ate some of the small gravel. How do I know? Because it went straight through - very messy! She only seemed to do it when it was hot but it is part of her make up it seems to have something in her mouth when she's in drive!
