Yes, itīs finally springtime here in Finland. Two weeks ago started herding-training in our farm-slippery, muddy and wet but still so fun. Itīs nice to meet all old friends and also get several new dogs into herding.Thereīs 35 dogs per week training and you can imagine how hard it is after lazy winterseason- feet are burning:)
Yesterday it happened: Muffy got the idea of balance, working outdoors on the open fields- and how it happens is still surprising me. We had a 20 dog-day, morningtrainings and eveningtrainings. For morninggroup I took Muffy and my BC-bitch with me. Older bitc Weedy is helperdog in trainings, for we do not have fences or gages and all the work is done on open field. So she takes care of stock if unexperienced dogs make mistakes, it collects the stock back, helps training dog in pressure if itīs needed and it brakes if itīs starting to be too fast. So Muffy watched rehersals first carefully and started to join, and it was a beatyful sight. Smooth, not pressing way it helped dogs with Muffy- without mixing trainings. And after trainingsession it laid down waiting by stock or me next dog starting. I was so proud!
Afterwards she was exhausted in good way, just sleeping and smiling:)
Many many thanks for Kerrie for this wonderful dog!
Tomorrow I hopefully get someone with camera to get some videos for sharing this skilled youngster with you!

Yes, itīs a great feeling- of course Iīve seen her abilities indoors with animals but now sheīwas on heat and acted couple weeks like girls do- was in her own world, paid no attention into anything else than smelling marks on ground ect:)
Itīs also a mystery when things fall into right places in dogs mind- and after it happens and they start to show us balance, gathering we know that everything is possible:)

Well done! How exciting after such a long wait that she showed her talent so quickly. All that work inside probably did her the world of good so she was confident in herself and you when you finally got outside. Look forward to hearing more of her adventures.

Can't wait to see her working. Sounds like she's very confident.

Yes she is, all my clients (who did see her on monday, 20 dog-owners) were laughing at my face when I told them that this was her first time.I just had told them that I feel bad confidence about how I have so little time to train my own young dogs this summer! But I also comfort them that it is so different situation to train your dogs among the work than go train once a week- this way dogs grow into work and see it as their life!
