I've come up on a waiting list for a back operation in a couple of weeks 10-14 days probably(injury from about 18mths ago-finally got a call, but the date was unexpected). I'm going to be out of action for about 3mths-as in flat on my back in recovery, physio, rehab etc-have to move to my auntys for the duration. I'll be off work and on sickness benefit so private boarding is out of the question. As I'm in Sydney, I have no real options for minding my two boys Jacksy and Alby aged 5 and 3 and1/2.Its all apartments here in my social circle. They are full brothers-18mths apart. I've contacted pretty well all the rescue type organisations I can think of-unfortunately the rule is that you have to relinquish your dogs-which I don't want to do.They are my life. Anyway-I'm wondering if you can think of any short term foster solutions. I will make a financial contribution while they are being minded. They are pretty well city raised so are good in and around the house, with kids etc, but are typical Koolies-love their run every day, affectionate etc. Not destructive or excessive barkers-Alby can get a bit jelous when I give attention to puppys (but I think it is just me personally he is jelous for). They both have obedience. Anyway-I expect to be getting booked in in shortly and I'm starting to get desperate. This came as a suprise, I didn't think I'd get booked in for at least another 6 mths-or so the specialist led me to believe. Oh-they are entire males-because I've had them on suprelorin-I should mention that. They are DNA'd now as well. Any ideas? I'm looking at about 3 months.

I'm trying to post pics but I'm so flustered I've forgotten how and I only posted some a few weeks ago-*tearing my hair out* Will keep trying.

Sorry I cannot help - can you get a friend to move in and look after them?

Alternatively, have you considered advertising on DOL looking for help?

Good luck with the op. This is one of those times that being on your own really sucks.
