yay photos. You have two very dark merles. Are they a dark chocolate colour? The one at the top in the first photo looks almost black in colour.

Smith is the father of this litter same as Poppy's last litter that produced my darling Frazzle and Spud (Mal's star tracker). Puppies are growing like weeds and Poppy is being a better mum this time.
We had a little "incident" with my mum's border collie, Tia who is boarding with me while my parents are away, she pushed the sliding door open on Monday night and got into the house and killed two of the puppies. Unfortunately, Penny the boy you liked and the girl with the white around her neck were killed. I was a very sad day ... Tia now stays in the paddock where she cannot get up to any more mischief.
Poppy is not a protective mother as none of my other dogs have ever bothered the puppies, the pups just scamper around amoungst the older dogs and learn their manners from the adults. I suppose that being so young and small it is not the same.
Well lesson learnt anyway.

I've just seen this Jackie (I've been away)- what a terrible thing to have happened to Poppy and you. So sorry it has happened. Has Tia shown any behaviour like that to puppies before?
