Thanks for the heads up Kym, We are follow up with her.
She has just come in, so they will inform us if she runs out of time and Koolie Rescue will pick her up.
Hey Dandybrush don't forget she is free and will be temperment tested before she comes to Vic, so we will know more about her.
She will be desexed, micro-chipped and inoculated as well as on flea/worm protection
She can come visit you for a month, no risk, if she doesn't work out, we'll take her into care.
The most it will cost you is a plane ticket if your in another state.
If your in Brisbane then it's cheaper to take her now.
If your in S.A or W.A then wait till we get her back to Vic.
She's only about 4 months, not even old enough to have bad habits.
Anyway we'll post more info on her as we get it.
I think Gabby would be a nice name for her, anyone got any other choices for her.

if you are interested DandyBush and I can help in anyway let me know. Happy to drive up to Blacktown and break her out for Koolie rescue if no one else can and bring her home for a few days until she can get on a plane. If she is 4 months then she can hang with Bug who is the same age for a few days to settle into normal life before flying out. While here I can also get a good feel of her for you .
Offer is there, just let me know if you need a hand Kerrie/Dandybush.

Call the pound yourself in the morning and ask the questions. I know that what I got from he list was very different from what the pound told me when I was going to rescue "Bella". Then call a transport company such as Dogtainers (do a web search for address) for a price. I know Kerrie uses them and they were very cheap even if they did "misplace" bug for a few hours.
Good luck and if its meant to be its meant to be. If you do go ahead their might be someone closer to Sydney on the list that can break her out and if not, let me know.

Hi Dandybrush.
This is how Koolie Rescue works, keeping in mind that we have no government or local support, all money comes out of our pocket.
We have a few very devoted people situated around Australia in most states, who keep an eye out for Koolie's in pounds who are at risk.
That's very important the bit about saving Koolie's at risk.
When a Koolie is flagged, we ring the pound and enquire about the status of the dog, its age, sex, medical status and what they provide in relation to medical needs, like micro-chipping, desexing, inoculations.
And we find out if they have a kill policy, if they do then we let them know that Koolie Rescue will take the dog when its time is up, if, it is coping with pound life, if not then we secure its release as soon as possible.
If they have a no kill policy and the Koolie is coping well then we don't rescue, but we do circulate the photos and send people to those pounds.
In as many cases as possible we try to home the Koolie directly from the pound.
This is for two reason, minimal transfers and confusion for the Koolie and less stress on our limited funds.
When a possible new owner deals directly with a pound then they will need to pay the release fee, normally this covers all medical requirements.
In the cases where a volunteer steps in and secures the Koolie's release and then rehomes locally, we do ask that the owner reimburse the volunteer.
With this little girl we just want a good home and you sound like your interested, so we are happy to secure her release, organise a flight and place her on a plane to you in Brisbane.
You will only need to pay for the flight.
Nothing more, if after a month she doesn't suit then Koolie Rescue will take her into care, we will pay for the return flight, we just ask that you pop on the flight we organise.
If it all works out and you wish to adopt her, then we transfer her micro-chip details into your name and she will be yours.
Koolie Rescue will remain the second contact on her micro-chip for life just to offer her a safety net and insure that should anything ever happen to you, she will not wined up in the pound.
So you will receive one Koolie female desexed, micro-chipped, inoculated and on flea/worm protection for the price of a ticket.
Can't get better than that.
