She looks so comfy. Nothing beat a/c on a steamy day. I hope she is settling in well and has had her introduction to all your hounds. Are the kids spoiling her or have you beat them to it?

Hunter has settled in well, loves that water. She was well and truly used to it up here, the puppies have puddles in their play yard from the rain. When we took Meeka to the airport yesterday we stopped at a soccer field to let her and Poppy, Pixie, Harley and Frazz out for a stretch there was huge flood plains of water on the field, Meeka just ran around with the others in the puddles and was soaking wet when we loaded them up again. I had to towel dry her to put her in the crate for the plane! haha NQ way of bathing your dog, just take them out for a play in the rain!!

PS Koolies even work in the rain. After a late night last night dropping a Mallee Too to Innisfail to meet the Dogmovers driver, I was looking forward to sleeping in Sunday morning, rain from Olga is still full on, so no point in rushing out anyway.

I was laying there in bed listening to the rain and I could hear Turkey noise, )the chook yard is on the other side of the house so there is no way that I should be able to hear the turks from the bedroom!!) Well out in the full rain (it is really teaming) there is Nudge and Frazzle herding the turks around the trees in the back yard. Nancy and Kenzie had the two ducks doing their thing... the others were standing back waiting their turn no doubt. I just put a few dogs away in crates to lessen the confusion and put my rain coat on and walked back to the chook pen. Frazz and Nudge put the Turks away and Nancy and Kenzie needed a bit of encouragement they were having a lot of fun with the ducks but we got them all back in the pen and now I am as wet as the dogs! Except for Frazz who I have used to catch wild chooks to bring home, not bad for young dogs that have had next to no exposure to poultry! Koolies can herd anything.

She's a gorgeous pup (and so are the kids!), but I have to say I'm reminded of Alice Cooper every time I see her face - the markings around her eyes just remind me of the makeup he wears!!lol

Jeez, now that you mention it, that eye makeup on her does look very Alice Cooper!
I know a blue merle border who looks just like a panda, he has big black patches on both eyes, and a big white blaze and mask.

I love the variation you can get with the merle patterns. :-)

They are Iron Barks, they have near black trunks...the leaves have only just started to come back after the drought, we have had 4 inches of rain so far this year so that is why the grass is so green. We haven't had grass like this for 4 years.

Beautiful dogs, beautiful kids, beautiful horse, beautiful grass, and Brookes not to bad either, lol!
