Hullo from Jules at Muddle-Earth, Taranaki, NZ!
Nine week old Allambie Tarata Flek jet-setted in from Cairns on Wednesday arriving in New Plymouth Thursday lunchtime. She has settled in well and in less than 2 days has taken over the house.
I met my first Koolie about 12 years ago when living in Aussie and had my heart set on this breed for my next dog. Gen (Geneva) was a bitza and a neat dog and the Koolie is the only one that seemed to come close personality wise.
We (Jonno & I) have been at Muddle-Earth for 2 months short of 2 years and I have been counting down the days to K-Day. We have 12 acres in the back blocks of Taranaki with 2 boundaries on a river and farms all around (a town farmer island in a sea of real farms!). We run a few beefies and Arapawa sheep. Dogs and chickens have been the missing ingredient.
Looking forward to sharing my Koolie experiences with you.

Welcome, another NZ counterpart with a Koolie. You will love the breed, I have only the one and you will meet others or have many, many more in their pack. They are a great dog with a great personality and very gentle in nature. I have only the one but will be getting more way in the future. Welcome once again.

Thanks for all the hello's.
I'm not sure who is more exhausted us or the puppy! She is just being so good - apart from a tendency to chew chair legs, the corner of the lounge and the coffee table! Keeping her busy with lots of toys and play so not too much of a problem - yet! She met most of the ladies of the district yesterday when we did some catering for a function and stole a few hearts. Very sociable lttle character.

Oh wow, you were waiting for your Koolie longer than I was!
It was about 5 years between seeing my first Koolie (photo) and getting Dice. :-)
Welcome to the Koolie forum, looking forward to seeing lots of pics as she grows up...

Welcome to the Koolie forum.
Enjoy your little girl.
I don't know if it's just mine, or other Koolies are the same but. . . watch out, they can be a little cheeky at times. But I wouldn't change him for anything.
Don't forget to post some pics when you can. Please!!
