My 2 pups, Burra and Kinta, ever hopeful that an open door means an invitation to come inside is on its way...

They are beautiful and indeed well behaved.
They have that puppy look of "Please Mum...can we come in yet?"

and with the amount of dogs you have Royalla, there would be a bit of a traffic jam if they all tried to come in at once

Ha Ha, there sure would! An open door just means come and go as you please to my dogs too. Which is why my door never gets left open now, 'cos Ashley isn't allowed to come and go as she pleases...

Well I must admit that my door is rarely closed, only on muddy days and at tea time. My OH insists on feeding them at the table and there is just too many. My place gets a bit crowded at times! The boys except Frazz are banned when the girls are in season but are fine any other time.

Now, how could you resist those faces?
Mac is allowed into our laundry, which is off the kitchen. Most of the time he stays pretty much where he's allowed. Apart from if there are visitors or hubby comes home from work that is.
We had him for around 2 weeks then took our barrier down, even then we didn't put it up that much, just took the 'lets see how he goes' approach. With our SheltieX the barrier was up for months before we could trust him not to come any further (except for visitors or hubby home from work time

) Don't think there is much that will stop that.

We have a pet door Paxy uses for access in and out. If the solid door is closed she scratches and barks - it bears the scars. Our baby gates have stayed up. Mainly to give the cat some respite from Paxy as Paxy is a bit relentless sometimes in her attempts to make the cat play, despite copping a claw or two on occasion. More important at the moment as Tammy cat is not well for her to have her own safe space too. Oh and the fact that Paxy likes eating cat poo!!
