For all you agility people out there I have great news and can confirm that in the March edition of Cleanrun 2010 has a picture of a real Koolie in it ( twice even) . Its not an "action" shot of any means however "Bug" (Tjukurpa B Kool) and I are on page 3 which is the index page at the top and also the same photo is in an article I wrote for them ( the photo is repeated on page 15). I even was able to put her in the bio as well as the article was written late last year.
If i had of had half a brain I would have taken photos for the whole article with her featuring but its always good to have after thoughts isnt it. Maybe if there is a next time.
For those of you non agility people. Cleanrun magazine is the leading magazine for agility enthusiasts worldwide and has a pretty big following. Very exciting news thats for sure as I didnt think it would make it in as I had left it really late.
Yah for the Koolies.

guys its the march edition which only was released digitally yesterday. The hard copy will be about 3 weeks away yet.
Bluedog - you sound like me but that would probably be Feb you still have wrapped.
Penny - you know for about $20 USD you can get the magazine online for 12 issues. Saves having to wait till the club gets around to passing it on.
Kym, its a small picture but a picture all the same. She even looks like she is behaving herself.
Sil, yes its amazing to have the article in however Cleanrun is also my publisher of a book I wrote which was released by them a few months ago. They asked me to write the article and had to almost pull my teeth to get me to do it. Its pretty daunting writing for a crowd like that and I think I read somewhere that they have a subscription of over 80,000 people per month world wide ( could be wrong on that). Needless to say I had more sleepless night writing 4 pages than I did for the book <g>. I had not included any photos of Bug as she was only 3 months old at the time they wanted it sent and it was not until I got the proof the other week that I thought I could ask to put her in. So in a very quick 12 hours the photo was taken and sent and then I had to wait until the digital version was released to see if it got in. I knew it might get in the article but never expected it to be on the page 3 in the index. Go the Koolie.

OK now you have to tell us about the book you've written!! You might sell a few more you know and we might even get autographed copies from the author!

Somehow Blue dog I think the book that I wrote is not exactly gong to be used in real Koolie land and a lot of the misconception is actually explained in the article. Now if you do agility then you would. So here you go - a challenge. Finally get the wrapper off the Feb issue that is sitting at your house. Open to page 57 (Feb) and they have a full page add for the book. Now that will make sure you actually open the magazine ...lol

Yes, it has!! A topic I'm quite interested in too! I use a lot of tactile work (at least I call it massage as people accept it better if I call it that) in behaviour work I do - I find it helps establish a connection between the dog and human. It has worked really well for a few "difficult" rescues and their carers.
Well done and congratulations on being a published author!!! Is there anywhere in Australia selling it yet or is it only available via Clean Run?

Glad you opened your mag. There are some great articles in it that you will enjoy. I have some copies of the book and you can get them on my web page at
http://caninebodyworks.com/book.htmBut that was not the reason for the post. I was just so happy that they took Bugs photo :-)
