We have had rain for about three weeks and are heartily sick of it so we decided to pack the muddy dogs up and go for a drive!! To Petford. There is nothing there not even a pub but I thought that would do for a destination. Great river flows through that country. We went on a 10 day trail ride through that area a couple of years ago so I always wanted to go back and explore.

What a hoot! I bet everyone slept well on the way home! Which begs the question....how do you transport that many dogs at once??? Some great photos.

Nine in the back bay and six in the front bay and yes everyone can still lay down. There is always a scuffle over who is going to lay in the spare tyre!!

Sil asked the question that went through my mind! Looks like they had a great time. I love Trapper's comment! (I just watched the movie Up! and the dogs had little translators in their collars!)

sometimes you would almost think this lot has translators, they just miss out on the words, their faces are just so expressive.

Now that was a good movie and is probably more believable to koolie people.
I bet the trip home is quieter than the trip out.

That looks like so much fun, I love bush walks with the dogs. Must do some more when Haze is big enough.
You have to be careful where you walk over here though. bloody Regional Council have a habit of poisoning with 1080 for possums, which is also lethal to any dog that eats any.
At least I can take them to the beach often :-)

Penny, the property owners over here are similar, you have to be really careful and know the area is safe. Plus having so may dogs it take them well off the beaten track where I know that I won't run into any vehicles or other bushwalkers as they sometimes frightened of the dogs. I tend to go to forestry tracks and river banks, they make plenty of adventures and also water for when the get hot.
