Now that is like looking at my own dog impounded. Hope he gets some help.

Have you informed TJ? It looks as though they dont keep them for longer than 21 days.
sheree_e4
Treen - yes I have emailed both TJ and Ailsa.... I have a contact via DOL who is going to temp test him and get some more pix for me.
Would be great to get him rehomed through the pound but if not will do my best to get him out..
Will prob need someone to foster him as I will have 5 dogs here including my new pup and also Kody who is entire so don't want any fights .... However my pens should be ready by then but would like some options....
treen
He looks beautiful. I hope he has a good temp so that he can be re-homed.

Keep us posted on what happens
royalla
kody fight lol that would be a first he is to much a softy at heart for that to happen, i can see much of the dog but he looks like a nice dark merle
sheree_e4
haha Royalla I did not mean Kody fight d.gif ..... worried he might get bashed :( he is a very soft boy... being that pixie would have just came out of season and all and I'm pretty sure the smell would be still around?? and obviouly I have no idea atm what this boy is like

However I do have a foster carer lined up if we need to rescue this boy surprised1.gif

i wish we could get a better pic of him :) least he will be safe with you watching out for him sheree
micknmol
excellent work Sheree. Thanks for finding a foster for him. If he ends up with us and does not find a home then send me his details plus a better photo and Ill keep an ear our via the Koolie club puppy enquiries. Believe it or not I do get people looking for rescues and older dogs.

I still think its a spitting image of Bug through bars including head shape and all.

ok so here is the new info I have on this boy...
hi sheree, this boy is devine! Only a young dog 1-2yrs. He needs training but has a great temperament and was very focussed on us and treats. He does jump up and gets excited but definitely settled as test went on. We used him as our tester dog and he only ever showed appropriate and playful body language with a variety of dogs - a female sharpei x, a big brindlle crossbreed girl, a male kelpie and two smalls. He also sat quietly while we worked on other dogs. Although a little unsure of the 'hand' when we tested him for food guarding, he continued eating. He's keen to please so could easily be trained. A really nice boy with a thick coat.
Photos coming soon.

I'm with you. When I saw the first pick through the wire of the cage I was thinking what the heck is Mac doing in that cage. But the full photos give it away it's not him. PHEWWW!!! hehe

He is a stunning young man though, I do hope he finds his forever home soon.

I hope he finds a home... he looks like he has a great personality.

Beautiful colours too.
dandybrush
he does look to have a sweet and honest personality poor boy hope he finds someone who will give him the love he deserves
Flyingdog
What a lovely dog - no doubt he is my dog Chester's brother - same colour, same eyes and expression on the face. I got Chester from the Mugga Lane pound in Canberra two years ago - he was a year old. Whoever is breeding these dogs - they are ending up in the pound - not good..... I can say that they have a lovely nature and very clever but definitely not suitable for city life. Luckily Chester has plenty of space to run out here on the farm and he jumps/climbs fences like they dont exist. He has good instinct with sheep too. Hope this boy finds a good home where he can enjoy some freedom to run.

royalla
is he out of the pound yet
sheree_e4
Hey Royalla he is still in the pound but has a name on him and the people are apparently very nice,If this changes I will be notified.
royalla
good to hear that i hate dogs having to be in pounded
micknmol
Fantastic work on your behalf Sheree. you rock girl.

treen
i hope it all works out for him and he gets a happy home
scouserdog
The lady who took him was very definite about wanting him even having been warned that he was an energetic handful so i think he will be well loved.
treen
Well maybe she will find her way here and tell us how he goes.
