2010 Annual Meeting 25th July 2010
Our annual meeting is comming up and all are welcome to attend, members and visitors.
Nomination forms for committee were included in the newsletter, if you would like to get involved a bit more new committee members are always welcome!! No pressure though, it's up to you. We have a flexible number of committee numbers so we can expand and contract as peoples interests change.
Otherwise please feel free to come along and join us for another kasual koolie afternoon.
We are hopeful of having Mr George Sofrinidis attend to discuss in depth the DNA process and the genetic diversity we enjoy and how to maintain that.
As usual we will have the BBQ cranked up, we hope you can join us.

Well another annual meeting is over! We had a good day and were even blessed by a double rainbow, lots of good luck ahead!!
As usual we were over run by committee nominees....NOT! So no election was required but we had a couple step up to the plate and a couple step away.
We now welcome a couple of our own to the committee, with John McDowall our own LH taking a position and with Jackie H taking the reins as QLD committee representative and Janet moving to her subcommittee to do the hands on with workshops. We also welcome Julie Kinniborgh to the committee. Otherwise all jobs stayed the same, I think we are just comfortable now.
About 30 people turned up with nearly as many dogs, everyone enjoyed the BBQ even Crystal (the koolie) who after several attempts to raid the meat snaffled a slice of bread. A very pleasant day.

Back from holiday now...OMG Samoa is beautiful and Sil that camera was so worth it!!
It takes the best photos and wicked shots at night that the little point and shoot cant handle.
I have attached a few below:
The beautiful east coast (rebuilding after the tsunami)

Gorgeous waterfall

Our fale where we stayed

The pool and bar

The beach at the resort

The beautiful pier fales where Ric proposed to me over a private dinner

I was going to say Treen - do you have news to add to all of that then I read it amongst the photos. So congratulations on the engagement. What a romantic location and something you will remember forever.

i didn't actually know it was coming.. we went down to the main restaurant for a few drinks at the bar and i saw the table privately set up with candles but didn't think that was for us.
When the waitress took us out there, i started to think maybe something special was going to happen and then after about 5 minutes, he proposed :-)
