Click to view attachmentAs promised a very long time ago, here is a photo of our beloved Jack, looking for all the world like he was born to the footplate.
This photo was taken at Port Augusta in May this year.

Hi Marylu, good to see you posting, what a great photo also. Jack is the man!
Would you mind if we used your photo for breed promotion?? It is great to show the world all the different ways koolies spend their time. Would love to see more.

Sorry it's taken so long to reply, my internet has gone bottum up the last few weeks or so and I dont get access too often.
Sihouette, Lachie and I woudl be delighted if you used that photo of Jack, we are so very proud of him and what he manages to do in his life - which varies from theatre dog to footplate dog and all in between.
We have hundreds of photos of Jack from his last trip to the Pichi Richi Railway in South Aus, and when I am able to I can email them to you. It might take a little while, but I do promise to pass them on, but in the mean time anything posted here is yours for the taking.
thanks again

Thanks Marylu, would be glad to see any pics and I am sure LocalHost would be very happy to include them in the Koolie Gallery. It is not only great to get an assortment of different dogs, but getting them undertaking the wide variety of jobs/lives that they have is so very good also - this only helps people understand the versatility of this breed. Recently met a long term koolie owner/breeder who had worked sheep all his life, he was quite amazed to realise that koolies are not just sheep dogs, I couldn't spring train driver on him at the time!! Theatre dog sounds just as interesting.
If you (or anyone else) has photos that we can use for promotion please forward them to ann.worboys@gmail.com Thanks!

Hi Marylu.
Jack looks great, did the Sasha's blend we sent you have any impact upon him.
Look forward to bragging of yet another successful rescue story
Koolie Rescue has another mature male just like Jack called Red, he is 6 years old solid red with tan points, wonderful nature.
If anyone is interested.

Hi Kerrie
So far so good with Sasha's blend. We havent had any more limping or obvious pain. Poor old boy, he is not long back from his last stint at the vets being stitched up after ripping a skin flap open on his leg whilst playing with the kids, once again careering into the bushes to retrieve balls and catching his leg on a loose piece of fencing. I suppose that's a fairly good indication that he is fit and healthy!!!!

Typical Koolie all fun and know pain registry.
So happy to hear he has improved.
