hi guys
as most of u know that i am a cleaner and i do get some interesting jobs at times well i have one of them now i am helping to pack up an estate for a very lovely lady who has photos and books going right back to the 1800s. Well i have found a photo of what looks like a merle red i think as the photo is b&w. It is a very old book 1919 a set of three they are called the history of queensland. It's people and Industires by mat j fox FSS this book is not made any more so we are going to try and take a photo of this photo of the dog and a couple of other dogs that could be koolies that are in there if that fails then we will try to scan the pics but the books are very thick and very old so i don't think that would work and we have to be very careful with them. i am going back to robyn's house to night to do a bit of reading in them to see what they about the dogs probaley not much as it was more about the people.Well wish me luck with this find i hope i am not barking up a wrong tree.

Well done, fascinated to see how you go this is the best way we can uncover the origins of the Koolie, by everyone keeping our eyes peeled. If you feel it is relevant would love to add it to the history page on the club site, if you wish. Good Luck, looking forward to hearing how you go.

Since this is such a big deal, perhaps the owners of the books would consider donating or selling the books to the Club. We could establish a working library / archives that would help support all the research that the club and its members are doing to record the breed history. The owners could be named as benefactors of the breed for their help with the on going research….

Could not hurt to ask…. Nothing ventured, nothing gained…..

SIL you and TJ need to get up there and start hand copying all those pages in that thick book…. The secrets to the whole thing could be right there….

Gee Karolina, as much as I'd love to I have as much chance of getting to Queensland at the moment...as you have!! But good thought though, could do with a week or so in sunny Queensland....

Oh come on....angels have wings... just fly right up there and get to it... you know I am just kidding....but who knows maybe your next cross county adventure would get you close …..if I could I would fly right over… but Mr. Karolina will tell you I am NO angel; so I know I don’t have wings…. Horns and a pointed tail, maybe …..
