Now I am not a canine fashionista, ziknow.gif practicality is the name of the game. Lawson wears a working collar which was Gemmas and was purchased from the old Noonbarra Pet supplies in NSW over a decade ago but when I found a site with flat, woven collars (easier on his fur yet allows some control) complete with embroidery pepper.gif I could'nt help myself so today this came in the mail

Hi Lawson Legend

I think that your collar would be good if the dog got lost in the dark.

I have changes all my collars to BULL collars as I have had a lot of trouble with different styles of collar.

My dogs when they are off together bite at the ends of each others collars and destroy them.

The Bull collars I now use have plastic clips at their ends with a steel ring behind this which we use to secure the dogs when they are not working. These collars are stronger than most and don't have any ends hanging out anywhere.
Since we have changed to these collars our problems have stopped.

You need to be carefull however as these collars also come with only 1 ring and are no way as strong as the dual ring.

I can't afford to have a dog running free as it would be herding stock somewhere not necesarrily mine.

I don't need anything fancy but do need something that actually works.

Jack, this is just for obedience stuff, it's adjustable and very, very durable and I like it beamme.gif Mine have working collars, leather where the end goes through a metal loop BEFORE the buckle, then another metal loop. Completed with the ring for lead or tethering Got them from Noonbarra years ago, best collars I have ever had ( bar the handmade one Gem had made for her by El Presidente)
Thank you TJ, no need to get so excited pepper.gif they only wanted an opinion ot two.

Hi Lawson Legend

As you have probably gathered by now I am more into practical than fancy.

I have grown to not like fancy in the obedience ring in open competition
in state and national titles and have found that when there is a male judge and a large breasted woman with a low cut top is in the ring the judge forgets to look at the dog and gives points for things that stand out.
I think that TJ would know what I'm talking about

I don't want to get into my achievements however and think that if you like the colar you have one over on a lot of people that don't particularly like theirs.

As always I am normally very upfront and didn't wish to upset you in any way.

and as the saying goes if it feels good do it
