Click to view attachmentok the first photo is a scane of a koolie laying in the driveway of the late David Lacy Jones J.P clerk of the shire Kilkivan and part owner of Euroka station. is the son of the late George Hall Jones and grandson of the late David Jones, founder of the well-known commercial house of David Jones & Co., Syndey. the last named gentleman came orignally from wales in the 1830's George Hall Jones was born in syndey in 1837 and as a youth of 18 he became associated with his borther in pastoral pursuits at Boonara station, Goomeri in the Burnett district. In 1892 G.J Joneswas the purchaser of the beautiful Kilkivan station in the Wide Bay district,were he stayed until his death in 1899. the kilkivan station was sold of to a syndicate the old homestead only being left as a landmark ( this was in 1921) of his surving family, Mr A.E.Jones manages Euroka station of which he is a joint proprietor with his borthers and sisthers. Mr Lacy Jones was born in the year 1877 at Boonara station later moved to kilkivan for 11 years then moved back to Euroka station. in 1911 mr Jones was maried to Mildred McKewen of kilkivan and has one son. in the photo the chil looks to be about 3 years old so the phote was taken about 1915-16. i hope this helps guys.
